NB IoT IoT Intelligent Remote Water Meter Function Features

NB IoT smart remote water meter is an intelligent remote water meter that installs NB IoT modules inside the water meter and uses pulse/photoelectric sampling to facilitate remote meter reading and control. NB IoT intelligent remote transmission water meter adopts NB IoT narrowband cellular IoT for IoT, realizing automatic remote meter reading of water usage. The meter can achieve automatic maintenance without the need for construction wiring or professional maintenance, and is easy to install and use.
The smart water meter complies with the technical requirements of GB/T 778.1-3-2007 "Measurement of Water Flow in Closed Full Pipelines - Drinking Cold Water and Hot Water Meters" and CJ/T 224-2012 "Electronic Remote Water Meters".
2、 Main functions
1. Remote reading: Proactively report and read readings at regular intervals.
2. Remote valve control: It can remotely close and open valves.
3. Prepaid: Supports prepaid and pre order quantities, and closes the valve for overdue payments.
4. Warning function: Alarm prompts such as battery undervoltage, abnormal metering, pre order quantity, and pre paid usage reaching threshold. Different emergency water usage can be set according to different users.
5. Large capacity storage: can store up to 24 months of frozen data and 31 days of daily frozen data.
6. Cascade water price: Water prices can be set at different benchmark prices and tiered prices based on user categories and usage.
7. Data supplementation function: In case of special circumstances where the current data upload is unsuccessful, the unsuccessful data will be automatically supplemented in the next upload.
8. Each water meter communicates directly with the server through China Telecom/China Mobile NB IoT narrowband IoT communication, completing data upload, query, and setting functions.
9. Meter reading data upload time and frequency can be freely set remotely through local and NB IoT narrowband IoT. The water meter automatically reads real-time data when online according to the background settings, and is in sleep mode when no command is executed.
10. Payment and settlement: Each water meter can be set with three working modes: prepaid amount, prepaid water volume, and postpaid. The settlement method for water meters can be set as monthly settlement, quarterly settlement, or annual settlement.
11. The water meter can collect real-time accumulated water consumption and other data information through management software, or collect frozen accumulated water consumption for each day in the past month and water consumption for each month in the past 24 months.
12. The water meter has alarm functions such as arrears alarm, magnetic interference, and valve abnormality.

5. Protection level IP68: Protection level IP68, suitable for various complex environments.
6. System sampling BS architecture: No need to install a client, simply log in through a browser, and can be used on both PC and mobile devices.
7. Communication method: NB IoT communication is adopted, which can be used in conjunction with a mobile app for data query and payment.
8. The water meter is equipped with an operator specific IoT network card, and the product comes with NB IoT data fees for a minimum of 6 years of operation.

5、 * Allowable error
(1) The allowable error in the low zone from including the minimum flow to excluding the boundary flow is ± 5%.
(2) The allowable error for the cold water meter is ± 2% and the hot water meter is ± 3% in the high zone, including the boundary flow rate.
6、 Installation
(1) The installation of water meters must comply with the installation requirements of GB/T 778.2.
(2) The diameter of the water meter should be determined based on the diameter of the installation pipeline and the commonly used flow rate that is less than or close to the commonly used flow rate of the water meter. The installation location should avoid exposure to sunlight, flooding, freezing, and pollution, and should be easy to disassemble and read.
(3) Water meters installed horizontally should be installed horizontally (with the display facing upwards). Vertical installation of water meters should display upwards and be installed on vertical pipelines.
(4) Before installing a new water meter, the sand, gravel, hemp fibers, and other debris in the pipeline should be removed first to avoid causing water meter malfunction.
(5) The direction of the arrow shown on the water meter should be consistent with the direction of water flow in the pipeline.
(6) The installation location of the water meter should be away from electrical appliances with strong electromagnetic interference such as air conditioning compressors and induction cookers, and avoid being installed in metal boxes or surrounded by metal objects.
(7) If the water meter is installed at the inlet of the boiler, it is necessary to prevent the backflow of hot water and steam from the boiler from damaging the internal components of the water meter. A check valve should be installed at the outlet of the water meter.
(8) When connecting the water meter to the pipeline, excessive force should not be applied to avoid damaging the water meter. Insert the connector into the connector nut and install it onto the pipeline, then twist the connector nut to install the smart water meter onto the pipeline, keeping the water meter level. Attention: The water meter and connector should not be subjected to excessive bending force. Prohibit the installation method shown in the following figure:
7、 Use
The NB IoT smart remote water meter is an instrument used to measure the total volume of water flowing through pipelines. In addition to the functions of a regular water meter, it also has data transmission capabilities and achieves remote meter reading through NB IoT narrowband cellular IoT. NB IoT intelligent remote transmission water meter measures and stores users' water consumption, detects instrument operation status and other information, and sends water consumption and other data to higher-level devices at regular intervals every day. Through management software, the accumulated water consumption and working status of the water meter can be copied.
8、 Precautions
(1) Regularly check the operation of the water meter and pay attention to antifreeze in winter.
(2) For those installed in pipelines but not yet delivered for use or those who do not use water for a long time (more than a week), please close the valves before and after the water meter. Our company will not be responsible for any consequences caused by this.
(3) If the remote meter reading data of the water meter does not match the character wheel or if the smart water meter malfunctions, the character wheel measurement shall prevail.
9、 Service commitment: The product implements the "three guarantees" principle
(1) For any water meter malfunction caused by quality reasons, our company implements the "three guarantees" policy for a period of three years from the date of purchase.
(2) For damages caused by human factors, our company is responsible for charging for maintenance, and guarantees three months of use according to the maintenance project.
(3) Damage to the water meter caused by improper installation is not within the scope of the "three guarantees".
